Play Music Academy

Tuition

Private 1-2-1 Tuition.
Play Music Academy offer one-to-one tuition on a daily basis. This involves students booking a lesson, usually on a weekly basis, and being given dedicated tuition by their designated instrument teacher. Each lesson is individually tailored to the particular student’s preference of style, required outcome and their individual rate of learning.

Students may choose to work towards achieving RGT/Rockschool grades or simply to attain their own personal objective; alternatively it can just be for the experience or best of all just for FUN!

Holiday Workshops
We are also setting up a holiday workshop for students to take part in an intensive week long course; the aim is to improve the student in a short period whilst giving them a focus during their spare time. Students will be invited from schools across the community to take part in the project with an aim for either a live or recorded (studio) performance by the end of the week.

Students will learn the appropriate Technique, Concepts and Vocabulary for the styles chosen in order for them to play effectively within the studied genre.

Excellence Centre
Play Music Academy is also set to become a centre of excellence for talented school pupils to perfect their skills. With the help of the local authorities we hope to be able to give extra support to pupils who show exceptional promise in their respective musical field enabling them to showcase their talents and follow a music career path.

Community
Play Music Academy also offer group lessons to the most vulnerable & diverse sections of our community. Previously, we have organised ‘bespoke’ courses for Educational Diversity & Y.O.T. and other Youth related projects.

These courses take place during school hours as an Extra Curricular activity for students that are no longer in the mainstream school program. Each group attends on a weekly basis and takes lessons on their chosen instrument. Each student then works through a choice of songs with the aim at the end of the term to either record or perform for fellow students, parents and members of the community.
